Cafe Note Rubber Bands Set of 5

These real gum rubber bands are a good size for the Cafe Note (both B6-slim and A6), with or without a cover, as well as the thicker A6 Hobonichi Techo yearly planner. Best NOT to use these with thin pocket notebooks (such as Moleskine Cahier or Field Notes) because they will end up bending the notebook.

The fit slim-B6 can be a bit snug, but it will loosen over time, or you can "train" them by stretching them a bit, like you would a rubber balloon before blowing it up.

They will also fit the short side of the Seven Seas A5 series, which is the same dimension as the long side of the A6 (both 148mm long and 15mm thick).

Comes pre-packaged as a set of 5, which you can rotate as they stretch out.

  1. These are the best rubber bands 5 Star Review

I love these rubber bands for holding notebooks closed when I toss them in my bag.

  2. Love the function & aesthetic 5 Star Review

I use a seven seas blank a5 and a cafe note for my main daily notebooks and these bands worked on both of them, even though they are only sold as fitting the cafe note. The a5 Seven seas is thick enough not to buckle from the band. However I also tried to use these bands on a a5 slim jibun Techo and that didn’t work because the notebook is too thin. I love the simplicity of these which allow the simplicity and function of the notebooks to be showcased. I like to use protective covers sometimes too but I like the unpretentiousness of the bands perhaps even more.

    They keep my book closed.

  4. Practical and gift-worthy 5 Star Review

Great for keeping notebooks closed as well as books I am reading. I like to put one in an envelope with a note and send it as a gift. Since they are unusual, friends really like getting them.

  5. Almost a necessity for Seven Seas books 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Jun 2020

These rubber bands are perfectly sized. They fit the Cafe Note B6 Slim very well, and they also fit the regular A5 Seven Seas books (I prefer them around the "waist" of the notebook on the A5 size). They do not deform notebook covers, and they work especially nicely with the Gfeller notebook covers, as well as the cheaper plastic notebook covers offered by Nanami. Highly recommended, and almost a necessity!

  6. Useful rubber bands 5 Star Review

These are lovely to use, as I do not have a cover for my Nanami notebooks, I utilized the rubber bands to not only keep my notebook shut during travels but also to hold my pens. Best part is that these bands also fit the A5 notebooks like the dot and the writer.

  7. smooth 5 Star Review

Once you wash off the coating that this rubber band has, it works great, smooth on and off my notebook.

  8. I use them everywhere 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Sep 2018

I accidentally bought two packets of these surprisingly handy rubber bands, and no regrets -- I'm now using them to organize half a dozen writing and bookbinding projects, and a travel art kit.

Agree with all of the other comments here -- these rubber bands have excellent grip, yet are gentle enough not to deform Seven Seas (or most other) notebooks. They work perfectly (and gently) with the Gfeller leather covers.

  9. Everyone comments on these rubber bands 5 Star Review

I really love these rubber bands they are more supple than they appear in the pictures. There is enough stretch to them that they don't warp the notebook or it's cover
