Tomoe River Paper Bulk Buy 500 Sheets

Calculated at checkout
Max Purchase:
2 unit(s)

We are now offering Tomoe River paper in bulk packs of 500 sheets!

Each sheet measures 310x219mm (12.2x8.6 inches). This is called "Novi A4" size, and is slightly larger than ISO A4 size (297x210mm).

We normally use this stock to create 100-sheet pads, then cut them down to ISO A4. However, we simply have not had time to make pads, so rather than hold inventory back until we can get to it, we decided to just offer it to anyone that might need it for their own project.

The paper runs "grain short" meaning that the grain is parallel to the short edge. This is very important! If you glue these into pads or books, glue ONLY the short edge! If you try to glue the long edge, the paper will eventually buckle due to variations in temperature and humidity, and it will not be pretty.

Or you simply write or draw on the sheets as-is or cut them down to the size you want. 500 sheets will last a long, long time. Comes in both Cream and White.

  1. Pretty amazing 5 Star Review

Maybe the only downside is that it is bigger than my scanner can manage, so if I write letters, I'll need to make sure to keep it within the regular A4 size. Otherwise writing on this is a joy. It gets crinkly with the fountain pen ink and is so much fun! I hope my friends enjoy receiving it as much as I enjoy writing on it.

  2. Best Paper EVER & Perfect Size (slightly bigger then A4) 5 Star Review

I am beyond happy about my purchase. It's the quality you come to expect from Tomoe River paper, but even more then that, the size is PERFECT! This A4 Novi size is everything. It''s slightly bigger the your normal A4 which is exactly what u was looking for. Also, I have to give a shout out to Dave and say thank you to him for being so awesome! He answered ALL of my questions and was patient w/ me. And less then 30min after putting my order in, I got notification that my order was already shipped! I'm a first time buyer and I was very impressed w/ not just my order, but overall experience.

  3. Awesome Paper; Awesome Company 5 Star Review

Nanami paper is awesome for offering this amount of paper. After shipping, the cost per sheet is a fair price without having to order even more sheets at a time. The paper is true to the short grain claim and can be glued on the short edge without warping.

  4. Paper to almost die for. --Just kidding! Tomoe paper is gorgeous to work with. 5 Star Review

This is our second purchase of the Tomoe Paper. Once again it is absolutely flawless. The cream color will work beautifully with Harold's next creations. I will be buying more in the next few weeks. Thank you for such a wonderful paper.

  5. Oh My! 5 Star Review

I love fountain pens, and I have a lot of specialty inks (stay with me!) and I enjoy writing. I have never come across anything that satisfies like the tomoe paper. If you know it, you love it. In both the cream and the white it delights -- it is exquisite.

The ream is a special experience. You can do so much with the pages. I have an A5 Fauxdori and so I like to cut the pages down to 11" print them with very light grey lines in "booklet" and use them in the Fauxdori. I also use them to make small note taking booklets and other things. The point is having the ream has made the tomoe paper so versatile!

This site is the ONLY place I shop for my paper and paper products. The quality of the merchandise is beyond question. Mainly I just like Dave. :) He's a nice person.

While there are many decent paper choices out there for fountain pen users none compare when it comes to showing off your inks in all their glory. Grabbing a ream was one of the best choices I have made and will be looking out for more to add to my stash in time.. Yes, it's worth it just for the writing experience.

  8. Awesome paper 5 Star Review

I waited awhile to order the bulk buy ream of Tomoe River but am glad I finally got it. At first I wasn't sure how I would use all this unbound paper. I took about 50 sheets and cut them down to 5.5 x 7.75 inches and made a 100 sheet pad for a leather folio I have. It turned out fairly well and it's great to know I can make another as needed. In the meantime I have tons of great paper for miscellaneous projects or whims. When you have the supply, ideas will surface. For example, my kids and I took some sheets and soaked them in black tea to "age" them, so we could make antique maps and journals.

  9. Divine paper! 5 Star Review

This paper is such a delight to write on with anything from a cherished fountain pen to a pencil that I keep finding new uses for this paper.

Thanks, Dave for offering this on your site as well as your careful packaging which compensates so effectively against the abuses of shipment (which time and again are restricted to damage only of the exterior box).

  10. Perfect. 5 Star Review

Bought this... an was honestly worried about how it would arrive, but the paper is absolutely pristine. I literally messed up a few pages just picking it up to examine it, so it's pretty mind-boogling as to how it arrives absolutely flawless.

For people wondering about what color to order, I'm typically a stark white type of person, but I have fallen in love with Tomoe River in cream. It's not a yellow type cream, it's really a smooth, delicious milk cream. Also I noticed (I'm super duper sensitive to these types of things though) the cream has a different texture than the white. It is more velvety and buttery with a bit of a cushy feel, whereas the white has more of a sleek/slick surface finish. Both are great though, just depends on what you prefer!
