Therefore, we are offering a sample of 20 white sheets with free shipping. The paper size is A5, B5 or whatever I may have on hand. No smaller than A5 though. 1. Great paper! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Feb 2016

I had to try the paper after reading about it online. A paper so thin that can still handle fountain pens well, it's amazing! It even handled my modified Jinhao flex nib with no bleedthrough! Couldn't believe it. I ordered one of the journals as soon as they became available, which is like playing roulette, but that is another issue entirely.

  2. Best paper I have ever used! 5 Star Review

Fountain pen inks look great on this paper. Absolutely no bleed through. The sample pack is a great way to try it.

  3. Tomoe River Sampler 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Oct 2015

Wanted to try this paper to see what the hype is all about. And I will be buying more! I used fountain, sharpie pen, ballpoint, gel, highlighter and pencil...with no bleed through.

Smooth, thin - very much reminds me of the small, thin sheets of "air mail" stationary from my childhood. Or 'onion skin' typing paper. Both of which I'd scheme to get my hands on for drawing, but have not found available in YEARS!,

  4. Really Great 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Jun 2015

As a left-handed person, it is rather difficult to find a paper that will not smear when I am writing on it. I was intrigued by this paper after hearing about it on the Marketplace Morning report last month, and decided to try it out.

The paper is wonderful to write on and, unless I really work at it, there is no smearing with a fountain pen. For being so thin, there is also, surprisingly, no bleed-through of the ink. The writing is smooth with other pens as well, but smearing becomes a small issue with certain inks.

I highly recommend trying it out. I think that I will have to get some more soon!

  5. A Treasure 5 Star Review

I love this paper and find it a joy for writing. I look forward to putting my fountain pen to its fine surface every day.

I wish I could buy it in bulk. I have only been able to purchase in small quantities.

  6. Praise for Excellence in Fine Paper 5 Star Review

I love this paper and look forward to when it get restocked. I can't stop writing when I put my pen to its fine quality.

  7. Sheen-aholic! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Apr 2015

Great seller, shipping was faster than expected.

Paper is thin as we all know it, but for the sheen and amazing qualities that other paper simply do not have for fountain pen inks, it's worth it.

I assume the paper thinness also means notebooks could be lighter and can hold more pages.

Believe me, the ink you thought you know so well will shock you when you use Tomoe River paper.... it will show it's "true colours". :D

  8. Just great 5 Star Review

Amazing paper. I could not believe how thin yet great for fountain pen.

  9. A must try/buy! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th May 2014

First off: a very quick shipment (to Belgium).
Great paper, very, very thin, keeps your fountain pen ink very sharply lined, no feathering nor bleedthrough. There is some ghosting, it doesn't bother me but I can see how somebody would not prefer to write on the other side of the paper.
This sampling is a really great idea to try out new paper without buying a lot of it and then just giving it away because you didn't like it.
Downside: I really like this paper and would looove to buy a whole lot of it, but the shipping costs make the price skyrocket of to crazy hights :(
My biggest problem now is: I've cut myself with this paper and I'm afraid I got the virus now.
Must. Resist. To. Buy. Big. Bundle. Shipping. Costs. To. Much. Aaargh!

  10. I'm in love! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jan 2014

My husband –whose email address I'm giving, because he was the one who actually ordered the paper – got a sampler pack of Tomoe River paper, and I'm in love! This paper gives such beautifully crisp lines and really makes my inks pop! All of my pens – even the scratchier nibs – write well on Tomoe River paper. The smoother writers just glide over the paper; the scratchier nibs drag far less. Since I use small strokes when writing, I usually shy away from nibs that are larger than fine point, but I can use even medium nibs on the Tomoe River paper and still get a lovely, legible, crisp line.
