This vintage Gilbert & Blanzy-Poure Départementale Cementée N°2552 dip nib is a long-ago favorite from France. It is an excellent flex nib with an impressive reputation, and is mentioned in this IAMPETH article about fine and flexible nibs.
It can produce very, very fine hairlines followed by thick swells, and is great for general letter-writing, as well as fancy Spencierian script, if that is your thing. It is very comfortable to write with, and close in feel to the Brause 361..perhaps a bit more firm? Maybe. Anyway, these are NOS (new old stock), and are so good we just had to make them available here. Please see the video below for a writing demonstration.
Comes in a pack of a dozen. Fits in a standard holder.
Holder and the box pictured are for reference only, and NOT included with purchase. Note: If you find this nib to be a bit too flexy, our no. 605 from the same maker is a bit more restrained, tighter and will write smaller letters.

Just the right about of fine point w/o scratching on paper. Just the right amount of flex to give you amazing line variation without railroading. These might be my favorite dip nips!

I bought these on a whim, since I've been doing a lot of pen & ink drawing lately and am always looking for new nibs to try out. The Blanzy 2552 is supremely flexible yet also holds an extremely fine line without difficulty. I've been using the nib with India ink on good drawing paper (which may contain more sizing than typical writing paper), and I adore it! I wish it held a wee bit more ink, but I've also been going a little hog wild with the fat, sumptuous lines it draws without rail-roading.
It's an excellent companion to my other favorite: Nikko G nibs. The Nikko is stiffer and will hold an ultra-fine line a little more easily, but the Blanzy is more effortlessly expressive with every stroke.
Excellent nibs! And one more reason to love Nanami Paper!

The Blanzy 2552 is by far my favorite nib! It has the perfect amount of flexibility and writes so smoothly. I tend to have a heavy hand so I use it more for 5mm and 6mm x-height Copperplate, and prefer the Blanzy 605 for anything smaller. Dave's customer service is wonderful -- quick shipping/ safe arrivals. Thank you, Dave, for selling this exceptional nib!

This is the first dip pen flex nib I've used since high school (a long time ago!) and I must say, I just love it! It takes some practice to get used to after all this time but it produces a beautiful line and is very responsive to even light touches. I've been practicing in a Clairefontaine french ruled fountain pen notebook and it has not picked up any fibers or otherwise interacted poorly with the paper. It holds a surprising amount of ink and I can typically get through a full line without having to redip. Overall its fantastic, very pleased to find a new writing instrument!

I am a beginner pointed pen calligrapher, and I've found this nib is my first choice for drills and practice. Rock solid.

This nib is a wonderful tool for writing elegant type or calligraphy, as well as just writing normally, especially if you want to show of your ink. This has become my go to nib when writing something that I want to stand out. IT has become my default pen for testing out ink samples. It holds a good amount of ink to allow for writing without constantly dipping. It responds wonderfully with its flex, opening at all the right moments and holding exceptionally tight otherwise. The price of these tips is so far below their value it is crazy.
Regardless of why you landed on this page, that you did means you should buy these nibs!
