The search for that perfect eraser can go on and on and on...I can see why, because there are so many good ones out there...but this one caught my eye, with its black-on-black with silver lettering, so I did a little research and found that it is highly regarded in Japan, although the market is dominated by Tombow and Uni. Anyway, I thought I should test it out.
Well, my co-worker saw me using it and wanted to try it. He was sufficiently impressed to ask me to get him one.
Then my wife tried it, and she wanted one for herself, our daughter, and our daughter's teacher.
I think I was on to something. At minimum, this is a "really good eraser". Good enough to make random mistakes just for fun so that you can use it.
It also seems to work well with Tomoe River paper. It doesn't make much of a mess either, because the "eraser crumbs" clump together as you rub.
Comes three to a pack.

I got this because I needed a good eraser, and because it's black. Yes, the color is cool, and that's what drew me to it.
But the eraser is fantastic. I'm using the UNI HB Nano lead in my mechanical pencil and I can erase it perfectly from copy paper or my graph journal where I often sketch out ideas.
They come in a 3 pack, so I gave one to a friend (who uses pencils a lot more than I do) and I kept two. He seems to like his very much, as well.

I have used the Staedtler Mars plastic erasers for years, as I have always found them superior to any others I have tried. However, it looks like I have found a new favorite; thus far, these appear to blow the Mars plastic out of the water. They easily erase pencil marks completely, and with minimal effort. Also, they do not leave a mess.

How could I not order a black eraser? Since the erasers come in a three pack, I shared one with my friend and she said the same thing I did, it looks like candy. I love that it comes in a sleeve. It works very well and it's fun.

I read the previous reviews and description and decided I had to try it out, so when the time came I went ahead and purchased them along with some other items. Once it arrived, I couldn't wait to see how much spunk this eraser had to offer. I wrote some lines with my Mitsubishi Pencil HB and then proceeded to erase them with the black Matomarukun...Guess what? It was amazing! I have been using the Old School Pentel Hi-Polymer eraser for years now, and then when I tried the Matomarukun out, it was like going from a regular Michelin tire to a High Performance tire! It erased the pencil marks cleanly and softly and I really liked how the pieces clumped together as you were erasing, that way it doesn't leave the little after mass behind :-D I really love these Matomarukun Black Erasers :-) Hope these erasers become a regular item that's kept in stock :-P

Very good looking eraser. I usually use the white plastic staedtler mars erasers, but this one is a better shape for my hand, and I like the black. (This way I don't have to obsess about rubbing the graphite marks off the white. I cannot see it!) My husband liked it too, so I shared one with him.
