These real gum rubber bands are a good size for the Cafe Note (both B6-slim and A6), with or without a cover, as well as the thicker A6 Hobonichi Techo yearly planner. Best NOT to use these with thin pocket notebooks (such as Moleskine Cahier or Field Notes) because they will end up bending the notebook.

The fit slim-B6 can be a bit snug, but it will loosen over time, or you can "train" them by stretching them a bit, like you would a rubber balloon before blowing it up.

They will also fit the short side of the Seven Seas A5 series, which is the same dimension as the long side of the A6 (both 148mm long and 15mm thick).

Comes pre-packaged as a set of 5, which you can rotate as they stretch out.

  1. Perfect 5 Star Review

These bands are the perfect size for banding together my 2 notebooks. Makes them easy to take and carry. And what’s not cool about giant rubber bands?

  2. so simple yet so effective 5 Star Review

Why are Japanese rubber bands so much better than American bands? These are! Perfect, cost effective way to keep my s*** together without damage!

  3. Love Nanami Products! 5 Star Review

I fell for Cafe Notes B6Slim in an earlier order - the size and the minimalist style, especially. The Gfeller leather cover fits perfectly, too. But the rubber bands were sold out, until now. I love the look of the bands on my various B6 notebooks and they are practical, too.

These deliver exactly what you'd expect; simple and strong, they hold your notebooks shut and look good while doing it.

  5. It's very thick 4 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jul 2021

I like that it's very raw looking. It's so minimalist, but the thickness bothers me when trying to insert into the notebook (without cover). It sometimes feels like I would accidentally fold the cover because of its stiffness

  6. Very functional! 5 Star Review

I prefer notebook covers that stay closed with a clasp or a string, so I got this for my Crossfield and cover. Works great as a belly band for the A5 size - no bending or warping - and as as added bonus, it nicely holds my pen in place!

  7. These are the best rubber bands 5 Star Review

I love these rubber bands for holding notebooks closed when I toss them in my bag.

  8. Love the function & aesthetic 5 Star Review

I use a seven seas blank a5 and a cafe note for my main daily notebooks and these bands worked on both of them, even though they are only sold as fitting the cafe note. The a5 Seven seas is thick enough not to buckle from the band. However I also tried to use these bands on a a5 slim jibun Techo and that didn’t work because the notebook is too thin. I love the simplicity of these which allow the simplicity and function of the notebooks to be showcased. I like to use protective covers sometimes too but I like the unpretentiousness of the bands perhaps even more.

    They keep my book closed.

  10. Practical and gift-worthy 5 Star Review

Great for keeping notebooks closed as well as books I am reading. I like to put one in an envelope with a note and send it as a gift. Since they are unusual, friends really like getting them.
