This 4th Edition of the Cafe A6 notebook. It is bound with the Sanzen Tomoe River paper as of 2025 October 1.

A POCKET NOTEBOOK THAT PACKS A PUNCH

 

After many requests to chop our A5 notebooks down to a smaller size, we finally decided it was time to make our own original A6 notebook.

Performance and paper are the same as our B6-S: 384 pages, white TRP, lay-flat construction, 3.7mm grid.

We hope you like this new notebook - and actually, after working with various larger notebooks over the years, such as our Seven Seas A5, L!FE B5, Tsubame, and even our own Cafe B6, my first thought when I opened the shipment was "Awww...how cute!!!". But since this is a serious tool, it's cute in a way that, say, laser watches, explosive pens, and miniature tape recorders are cute. In fact, if James Bond carried a notebook, this is probably the one he would find most useful.

    This notebook is the perfect small size for my purposes, while having enough pages that it will take a long time to fill it up. I've been using the Standard A5 for journals for years, and this is a great, more-portable smaller sibling to it. The thin paper makes it not too bulky, and the lay-flat binding is essential, as well as the durability of the sewn binding rather than the typical glued ones. Love this little notebook!

    Good quality paper. Quality as expected from tomoe river paper. You get a lot of paper for the price and notebook is very well made. Add a cheap cover and you have a long lasting good notebook.

    I use (and love!) the B6 Slim Cafe Note and A5 Seven Seas Writer because you offer a ruled or lined version. I wish that option was available with this A6 as well.

    I love the size of this notebook. I miss the thicker version, though. Sadly, I was only able to purchase a couple of those notebooks before the new version came out. Also not a big fan of the NEW TRP, though it isn't a big issue. Please bring back the 480-page version!

    Namami Paper's craftmanship of their notebooks is always outstanding and very durable. The only downfall to my most recent notebook is the "NEW TRP" paper. It's the in-between tomoe river paper and I see all the complaints around it now. My pens that did just fine on the original TRP bleed through (some, not all) and ghost considerably more. However, these issues don't stop me from using the notebook, I just have to be mindful about what tools I use.

    This was my first notebook from Nanami that I purchased, and it is among my absolute favorites! In fact, I couldn't resist getting an A5 Crossfield as well due to how convenient, and enjoyable it is to write with. It shipped very quick, and upon receiving it, I misunderstood the grid type that it had (I expected a "dotted" grid, rather than its square grid) and the issue was resolved with the owner so well! I'll definitely be buying again!
