This 4th Edition of the Cafe A6 notebook. It is bound with the Sanzen Tomoe River paper as of 2025 October 1.

A POCKET NOTEBOOK THAT PACKS A PUNCH

 

After many requests to chop our A5 notebooks down to a smaller size, we finally decided it was time to make our own original A6 notebook.

Performance and paper are the same as our B6-S: 384 pages, white TRP, lay-flat construction, 3.7mm grid.

We hope you like this new notebook - and actually, after working with various larger notebooks over the years, such as our Seven Seas A5, L!FE B5, Tsubame, and even our own Cafe B6, my first thought when I opened the shipment was "Awww...how cute!!!". But since this is a serious tool, it's cute in a way that, say, laser watches, explosive pens, and miniature tape recorders are cute. In fact, if James Bond carried a notebook, this is probably the one he would find most useful.

    I jot down ideas, thoughts on paper when I am on the go. As it turns out, I have little notes everywhere. Cafe note A6 is my savior. It's a pleasure to write on the paper and it's a lovely way to store ideas, thoughts for further exploration. Highly recommended.

    I have been using the cafe notes in a6 and b6 slim for a few years now. They are awesome in quality! Paper is excellent and they ship quicker than any company I’ve ever ordered from! Highly recommend

    In the world of compact notebooks, these are the best. For me, they are the only too since I’ve started using them. Nothing compares to how beautiful in their minimalism they are and how wonderfully they hold so many pages (more than others without filling bulky). Crisp, light, plentiful and sturdy. I hope to have them around for the duration of my handwriting life, hope TR makes sure the paper is available.

    I like this notebook. It's a good size for traveling--not too small so that writing is cramped, small enough to fit in a back pocket. Lays flat. Well constructed. Recommended.

    I didn't know how much I needed this notebook until I held it in my hands. It seemed ok, but it is actually perfect. The paper, we all know. But the whole package is just so thoughtfully put together. I am traveling next week and this will be my companion. But I already use it daily for various notes on various topics i want to keep track of.

    I will always be a fan of the A6 size notebook. It is my EDC. Tomoe River paper is the best. With the possibility of it going away, I thought I would stock up a little. These little notebooks are so well made. They don't fall apart with everyday use. They lay flat. The number of pages is lovely.

    I use this notebook for my to do lists. It's small enough to put in my purse and sturdy enough that I'm not worried about it falling apart from constant use. The blotting paper is also a nice bonus.

    The notebooks are such beauties. I really love the lay-out margin compared to the Hobonichi. I love that it's whiter, too. I know this is the new trp and I don't have. I have not used it though, so I'm coming back to review it again after. :)

    I've purchased a few of these and they always ship quickly and are well-packaged. The A6 book itself is a good size, I can just fit it into a pocket.

    I've only ever used the new Tomoe River Paper, but it's good quality, thin but sturdy. I use a ballpoint pen, so I can't speak to how it handles other inks, but it's a pleasure to write on. I write small, so the grid size is perfect for me.
